Location shooting for movies, television shows and videos can be difficult to secure. Many horror, science fiction and western films need a remote location or one that looks otherworldly. Hollywood often resorts to filming these scenes at Bronson Canyon. Bronson Canyon is in Griffith Park, which is in Los Angeles, California. The canyon has been used for over a hundred years for various film projects. The area was originally called Brush Canyon and was a quarry until 1920. The caves that were created became known as Bronson Caves. Later the entire Canyon became Bronson Canyon. The largest of the caves is actually short and open at both ends. Scenes filmed here are done at an angle, thus making the cave seem bigger.
